Your needs are different from your
neighbors...Why would you settle
for the same remote start system
if you need more or less range,
security or features?

Consider these questions before
choosing your system:

1. How long will my remote start
installation take?

-Installation will depend on make and
model
-Most remote starts can be installed in
one day

2. Do I have a security chip in my
ignition key?

-Yes if your key-head is black with a
metal notch on it or completely grey
-This may mean we will need an extra
ignition key (either provided by you or
made by us) or use a special module to
override your car's security system
-Most newer vehicles have this type of
key

3. What is the farthest I will be from my
car when using the remote? What is the
average distance?

-Range varies from 1,000 feet to 1 mile
-Please refer to remote tables for a
range layout on each brand

4. What is the difference between a
1-way remote start and a 2-way remote
start?

- 1-way remote gives no indication if
the vehicle has started
- 2-way remote will give confirmation of
all features on the face of the remote
via lights or symbols

5. How many features are offered?
Which ones are important to me?

-Lock/unlock, start/stop and trunk
release come standard on all systems,
except for the 1-way Viper
-Sliding doors, heated seats, alarm
systems and other custom features are
available at an additional charge

6. How long do the batteries in my
remote last?

-All remotes are different, but most
should last from 6 months to 1 year,
depending on the amount of times used
-Some two way remotes last 9 months
and us AAA Batteries
-If your remote is not responding after
3 months or you are loosing range, you
may be using it more than average,
and changing the battery is necessary
-You can purchase new batteries at
Wal-Mart, K-mart, a battery store, or by
calling ahead to Do-Right

questions....

How long will you need my car?

Typically we will need your car most of
the day many remote starts take
between 4 and 6 hours to do a proper
installation.

Do you give rides?

We ask that you provide your own
transportation in order to give you the
fastest service. Time spent giving rides
only puts us further behind.

What is a bypass?

A bypass talks to your vehicles computer
system to allow the remote start to
perform many functions such as lock,
unlock, arm and disarm factory alarm
and in many cases if your vehicle has a
security key it will bypass that as well.

Will my car need a bypass?

If your car is newer than a 1997 model
year more than likely it will need one. Not
in all cases.

How many keys should I bring you when
you schedule my remote start?

It is very important to remember to bring
at least two of your ignition keys when
you come in. In most cases it takes at
least two working ignition keys in order to
program a bypass.

When is the best time to schedule an
remote start?

Before the holidays or when cold weather
hits you will generally have to wait longer
during these times.

Do you have gift certificates?

Yes we do and these make a gift that
gives every time they start their car.

What brands do you carry?

We handle the three largest brands Viper,
Auto start, and Astro start. All of these
brands are owned by Directed
Electronics.

What is my warranty?

All brands we carry come with a lifetime
warranty on installation and the main
control box. The remotes generally carry
a one year warranty on them.
